Terms and Conditions of 1 Year Manufacturer and 3 Year Compressor Warranty for Commercial Refrigerators
1. Coverage and Eligibility
1.1. This warranty (“Warranty”) includes a one (1) year Manufacturer Warranty and an additional three (3) year Compressor Warranty, covering commercial refrigerators (“Product”) manufactured and sold by Hi-Ten Trading Sdn Bhd (“Supplier”). The Manufacturer Warranty covers the entire Product except the compressor part, while the Compressor Warranty specifically covers the compressor unit. The combined Warranty period is valid for One-Year Manufacturer Warranty plus Three-Year Compressor Warranty (1+3) years from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (“Customer”).
1.2. The Three-Year Compressor Warranty is valid only for purchases made directly through Hi-Ten Trading Sdn Bhd’s authorized direct agency and requires proof of purchase; it does not apply to purchases made through authorized dealers.
1.3. Customers must schedule regular maintenance for the commercial refrigerators every 3–6 months, carried out exclusively by official technicians employed by Hi-Ten Trading Sdn Bhd. Failure to adhere to the scheduled maintenance may result in the forfeiture of the three (3) year Compressor Warranty coverage.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1. The Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship during normal use of the Product. It includes repairs or replacements, at the Manufacturer’s discretion, of any defective parts or components.
2.2. The Warranty does not cover:
a. Damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, or improper installation.
b. Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic issues such as worn frames, faded paint, or loose door handles.
c. Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, repairs, or handling by third parties.
d. Damage caused by non-commercial use or use outside of specified temperature ranges.
e. Consumable parts, such as gaskets, bulbs, or shelves.
f. Damage caused by relocation or transportation of the Product.
g. Damage caused by natural disasters, fire, floods, or acts of God.
h. Damage caused by using an extension plug to power the refrigerator.
i. Water vapor formation on non-heated glass doors, which depends on environmental humidity levels.
3. Warranty Claim Process
3.1. Customers must refrain from exceeding a 90-degree opening angle for refrigerator doors to prevent hinge or structural damage.
3.2. Any broken glass door or handle resulting from negligence, accidents, or misuse will be classified under “wear and tear” conditions and not covered by the Warranty.
3.3. Customers are responsible for ensuring proper handling and use of the refrigerator, including avoiding overloading or improper storage practices that may cause damage.
4. Exclusions and Limitations
4.1. To make a Warranty claim, the Customer must contact our customer service within the Warranty period.
4.2. The Customer may be required to provide the following information:
a. Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).
b. Serial number and model of the Product.
c. Description of the issue or defect.
4.3. Upon receiving a claim, the Manufacturer will assess the issue and determine whether it falls within the Warranty coverage.
4.4. If the Manufacturer approves the claim, they will arrange for repair or replacement of the Product as necessary.
5. Exclusions and Limitations
5.1. The Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
5.2. Any repairs or modifications not performed by the Manufacturer’s authorized service personnel may void the Warranty.
5.3. The Manufacturer is not liable for any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use of the Product.

7. Changes to Terms and Conditions
7.1. The Manufacturer reserves the right to update or modify these Warranty terms and conditions at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated to the Customer.
By purchasing and using the Product, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.
