Imax specifically aims to make our customer more convenient in daily use through our product innovation design, Including the customer experience of third parties which indirectly relates to us. Imax products has been produced by locally dedicated commercial refrigerator manufacturer (Power Cool Equipments) for 30 years. In the early days, before the official brand was established, our commercial fridge signboard design only had the slogan Fresh & Cool, so our customers take it as our brand.
Max Lim Chun Siong, the founder of Imax, originally just an air-conditioning apprentice. He decided to change career paths and start up a business after discovering an opportunity in the commercial refrigerator industry.
He learned everything from scratch, including the freezer’s use, design, fabrication, production process, negotiate and communicate with suppliers and customers. The sophistication of people is what helps him comprehend things better. He chooses to treat everyone sincerely and prioritize customers in business and company management, this make his employees/partners and customers are willing to give trust.
On June 17, 2011, his business was affected. The factory was completely destroyed by fire, leaving only moulds. Furthermore, the founder, Max considered giving up due to the pressure from the banks’ and suppliers’ arrears. But with the encouragement of relatives, unwilling to let his employees who follow him for many years and lose their jobs, he finally faced the problem bravely, and because of his business integrity, the machinery supplier gave credit and the opportunity to try the machinery, and the bank also approved the instalment payments, so the factory could restart operations.
Due to the crisis experienced since the company was founded and the integrity attitude of the founder, Max, the partners came up with the brand name Imax, which represents the trust in the founder. Finally, the Imax brand was officially established on February 8, 2021.
