Transportation and Instruction Before Use

 

After unloading, check the cabinet for any damage caused during transportation. In the event of damage, please contact your sales representative for further assistance on the spot. Once the appliances are signed by the user without exception, any claim for compensation afterwards will not be accepted.

 


Allow the appliance to stand for at least 6-8 hours to connect to the mains supply.
This gives the oil time to run back to the compressor after transit and installation.

 


 

First Time Use

  • Place the appliance in good position and open the door to ventilate.
  • You are recommended to clean the appliance before switching in it for the first time (refer to Cleaning).

To switch on: Connect the plug to the socket.

To switch off: Pull out the mains plug.

Once switched on, let the appliance run for at least 1-3 hours to ensure the temperature drops to an appropriate coldness, then only you start to load.

 


 

Foreword

 

Thank you for your trust and wise decision on purchasing our IMAX glass door display chiller. Please read this manual book carefully before you using the products. We want you to enjoy these products with trouble free operation for many years. This appliance may be used for displaying food, including beverages, for retail sale. Commercial use means for example their use in restaurants, canteens, hospitals and commercial establishments such as bakeries, butchers, supermarkets, etc.

 


Foreseeable Misuse

Do not use the appliance for the following applications:

  • Storage and cooling of:
    • Chemically unstable, combustible or corrosive substances.
    • Medicines, blood plasma, laboratory preparations or similar substances and products based on Directive 2007/47/EC on medical devices.
  • Use in hazardous areas.
  • Use outdoors or in damp and splashing water areas.

 

Improper use of the appliance leads to damage or spoilage of the stored goods.

 

The cabinet is intended to store and to display pre-frozen and pre-packed ice-cream as well as packed foodstuff. Access by the customer is achieved by opening a non-transparent or transparent door.

 

Do not store explosive substances in the device, such as aerosol containers with flammable propellant gas.


 

Signboard Cover

Spray a squirt of the soapy water mixture onto the surface and then apply your sticker.

 


Disposal of Appliance

The appliance should be disposed of properly and not simply with unsorted household refuse. Appliance which is no longer needed must be disposed of in a professional and appropriate way, in accordance with the current local regulations and laws. When disposing of the appliance, ensure that the refrigerant circuit is not damaged to prevent uncontrolled escape of the refrigerant it contains and oil.

  • Disable the appliance.
  • Pull out the main plug.
  • Cut through the connection cable.

WARNING

  • Danger of suffocation due to packing material and plastic film!
  • Do not allow children to play with packaging material.
  • Take the packaging material to an official collection point.

Safety Instructions and Warnings

  • To prevent injury or damage to the unit, the appliance should be unpacked and set up by two people.
  • In the event that the appliance is damaged on delivery, contact the supplier immediately before connecting to the mains.
  • To guarantee safe operation, ensure that the appliance is set up and connected as described in these operating instructions.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains if any fault occurs. Pull out the plug, switch off or remove the fuse.
  • When disconnecting the appliance, pull on the plug, not on the cable.
  • Do not use electrical appliances inside the appliance.
  • Any repairs and work on the appliance should only be carried out by the customer service department, as unauthorised work could prove highly dangerous for the user. The same applies to changing the mains power cable.
  • Do not allow naked flames or ignition sources to enter the appliance. When transporting and cleaning the appliance, ensure that the refrigerant circuit is not damaged. In the event of damage, make sure that there are no ignition sources nearby and keep the room well ventilated.
  • Do not stand on the plinth, drawers or doors or use them to support anything else
  • Avoiding any firing, do not put any gasoline or other flammable liquids near to appliance.
  • This appliance can be used by children of 8 years old and over, and also by persons with restricted physical, sensory or mental capacity or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed on safe use of the appliance and understand the resulting risks. Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
  • Avoid prolonged skin contact with cold surfaces or chilled/frozen food. This could cause pain, numbness and frostbite. In the case of prolonged skin contact, protective measures should be taken, e.g. gloves should be worn.
  • Do not store explosives or sprays using combustible propellants such as butane, propane, pentane, etc. in the appliance. Electrical components might cause leaking gas to ignite. You may identity such sprays by the printed contents or a flame symbol.
  • If you have a lockable appliance, do not keep the key near the appliance or within reach of children.
  • The appliance is designed for use in enclosed areas. Do not operate the appliance outdoors or in areas where it is exposed to splash water or damp conditions.
  • When transporting or operating the appliance at an altitude of more than 1500 m above sea level, the glass pane in the door can break due to the reduction in air pressure. Broken fragments are sharp-edged and can cause serious injury.
  • Do not consume food which has been stored for too long, as it could cause food poisoning.

 


 

Installation Instruction

 

Electrical Connection

  • Only operate the appliance with alternating current (AC).
  • The socket must be properly earthed and protected by a fuse.
  • The tripping current of the fuse must be between 10A and 16A.
  • The socket must not be situated behind the appliance and must be easily accessible.
  • Do not connect the appliance using an extension cable or extension socket.
  • Do not use stand-alone inverters (conversion of direct current to alternating current/ three phase current) or energy-saving plugs. Risk of damage to the electronic control system!

 

Setting Up

  • Place the appliance on the smooth flat surface during operation. Do not tilt or place the appliance at an angle more than 5°, take necessary precautions if tilting is needed during installation.
  • Do not install the appliance directly against the wall, 100mm distance back side from the wall.
  • Do not place anything on the top. There must be a gap at least 20cm between the upper edge of the appliance and the ceiling.
  • Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight or near cookers, radiators and similar sources of heat.
  • Do not cover ventilation openings or grille.
  • Do not use electrical appliances inside the cold storage compartments of the appliance.

 

Climate Condition

  • The climate rating indicates the room temperature at which the appliance maybe operated in order to achieve full refrigeration performance.
  • Do not operate the appliance outside the specified room temperature range.
  • Do not place the appliance under heating and sunlight directly, outdoor use only if under roof to protected from continuous rain, storm, hailing, etc.

Cleaning

Kitchen Area: Every 3 Months;

Business Area: Every 6 Months

Before cleaning always switch off and pull out the mains plug of the appliance.

  • Clean the inside, equipment and outer walls with lukewarm water and a little detergent. Do not use abrasive or acid cleaners or chemical solvents.
  • Ensure that no cleaning water penetrates into the electrical components or ventilation grille.
  • The dust should be removed from the refrigeration unit and heat exchanger – metal grid at the back of the appliance – 2 to 4 times a year. (depend on kitchen or business area)
  • Do not damage or remove the type plate on the inside of the appliance. It is very important for servicing purposes.

 

Prevention Maintenance

Remember to take all necessary actions to protect yourself from glass remaining (use protective gloves when cleaning).

  • Clean the interior of the machine with the use of mild soapy water. The glass surface should be cleaned using a window-cleaning agent.
  • Please be careful when you transport the appliance, not to destroy the signboard cover and glass door.
  • Remember to disconnect the mains from the socket before cleaning the appliance’s interior or exterior.
  • Keep the appliance in a stable position during cleaning, do not step over the appliance.
  • If one or more of the bottles are broken in your appliance and liquid spills to cabinet or surrounding of the appliance got wet; unplug the appliance to clean the liquid around and the interior.

Caution! Do not wash the appliance with direct or high pressure water jets. 

Do not use steam cleaners because of the risk of injury and damage.

If the appliance is not going to be used for a long period of time, please switch it off and remove all goods, clean it and leave the door ajar for a short period,

SERVICE TECHNICIAN OR BY COMPETENT SKILLED PERSONNEL!

 


ENERGY SAVING TIPS

For energy saving and better performance:

  • Load your machine at night-time so you will be able to get in cold condition in the next morning.
  • Store your backup stock in a cool and/or dark place so that when reloaded the machine will need much less time to cool them down.
  • Wipe moisture from the products you place into the appliance.
  • Avoid opening the door for long periods of time.

Defrosting

The appliance compartment defrosts automatically. Manual defrost should not be done during the first 2 hours of operation. Do not use any mechanical devices or other artificial aids for defrosting other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

Temperature will rise when compressor stop, evaporator frost will thaw and flow to the water box in compressor room by drain hose. The water that in the water box will vaporises by heat.


Malfunctions

If a malfunction occurs during operation, check whether it is due to an operating error.

You may be able to rectify the following faults yourself:

  1. Appliance does not function
  • Is the appliance switched on?
  • Is the plug correctly fitted in the mains socket?
  • Is the fuse intact?
  1. Loud running noise
  • Is the appliance set up firmly on the floor?
  • Does the appliance cause nearby items of furniture or objects to vibrate?
  • Please note that noises caused by the refrigerant circuit cannot be avoided.
  1. The temperature is not low enough
  • Have excessive amounts of fresh food been placed in the appliance?
  • Is the ventilation system working properly?
  • Is the appliance set up too close to a heat source?

If none of the above causes apply and you cannot rectify the fault yourself, contact our customer service department stating the model type and appliance number as indicated at the back body.
